5 Candid Reasons Why You Should Start Maximizing Your Time

timeIf you love life, don’t waste time for time is what life is made up of – Bruce Lee

The problem we sometimes have is that we have this notion that we have all the time in the world and that time waits for us. This is why we keep procrastinating and putting off things we ought to do now for later. The ironic thing is that the “later” never comes. When exactly is “later”? Time is always in constant motion and by the time we realize this truths I am about to share with you in this post, it may be too late.

Our life is measured in time which means that time wasted is synonymous to life wasted. Procrastination is not just the thief of time but also the thief of life. Just like William Shakespeare wrote, “it is better 3 hours too soon that 1 minute too late”

When you learn and understand the true value of time, you snatch it, seize it and enjoy every moment of it. When you understand that time is indeed a treasure desired by most but still abused the worst, you strive to maximize it to the fullest. No more idleness, laziness and procrastination. You just start living life in the NOW.

Here are 5 reasons why you should start living in the NOW!

  1. Lost time is never found again

Life is constantly evolving and so is time. That day lost is forever lost and regained back. You can only feel regret for the wasted time which leads to more wasted time.

  1. Because everything on earth is time bound

Everything on earth has its season and allotted time. What this means is that once that allotted time is missed or misused, you can never get it back. It is forever gone. The wise king Solomon describes it best in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, “ there is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace an d a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace”. These words best explain it!

  1. Because time wasting is life wasting

Time is life and life is time. Time wasting is the same as life wasting. Our lifetime is measured by the time we spent on earth. You have these choice options relating to both your time and life: to waste it, spend it or invest it. A wasted life is time wasted. The next hour you are going to witness, how are you going to effectively maximize it? Tomorrow is not certain, only today is.

  1. Because life is a treasure given to all but abused and misused by so many.

Regrets is not the best feeling to feel. Make use of your time wisely while you still can. One thing certain about life is its unpredictability. Anything can happen at any time.

  1. Because you are not wise until you understand the value of time

Time is the wisest counselor and anyone that understands its value and importance is indeed wise. The psalmist made this request in psalm 90:12, “teach us to number our days so that we may gain the heart of wisdom”. Time management is a proof of a wise heart. What does it mean to number your days? Understand that life is measured in time. Waste your days, you waste your life.

Life is time. Time is life. It is as simple as that.
